Sachion, a wilderness kingdom consisting of rough plains, rolling hills, and coniferous forest, is run by three powerful oligarchs, each with his own ruling town and section of the kingdom. In the center of the kingdom is the capital, the Holy City of Godwine, where the oligarchs come together to decide on important matters. Sachion is bordered in the north by the by the dwarven kingdom of Hammarlund, the south by the human kingdom of Torius, the east by wilderness, the west by the Gael Marshes, the Forest of the Weald, and the Hel Swamp, and to the south-west by Celion Forest.
People and Culture
The Celtic-like people of Sachion, the Sachiar, would be considered barbarians by most standards. These considerations are wrong. While it is true that the Sachiar are slightly more primitive than the other races in the area, their culture is very complex, and they make up for their lack of technology with brave hearts and a strong will, as well as a highly-developed oral tradition. Once nomads, the Sachiar people settled down in earlier times and have built a great kingdom. The other races that call Sachion home, including the Saethari, Dwarves from Hammarlund, and Torusians from Torius all live in common communities with the Sachiar, who are welcoming to the other races and cultures, although the various settlements are usually segregated into into districts based on race; the Sachiar are still the dominant race in their land. Even though the Sachiar have settled down, their free spirit has caused their society to be based on individual freedom rather than strict order, and in many places the common folk take the law into their own hands frequently.
